Back when Brad Anderson was attached to direct and Scott Kosar was supposed to write the remake of George Romero’s The Crazies, it was a project I was really looking forward to. Then it fell apart and I thought to myself “Well, it’s probably for the best…”
But production house Penn Station is working to keep The Crazies kickin’ according to STYD today. They learned that Ray Wright (Pulse remake, Case 39) was brought on to write the redux back before the strike that has spoiled everyone’s good time, though where it’s at right now is unknown.
So does that mean it could still happen? Of course it does; these days you can keep a remake down no matter how ill-conceived and/or executed. We’ll keep our ears open for more news as it breaks loose!
