Dark Sky Films announced today that they’re expanding their original production line (the first is David Gregory’s Plague Town) with a brand-new film from Trigger Man/Cabin Fever 2 director Ti West (pictured), The House of the Devil.
Dark Sky will be teaming with Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix and A History of Violence producers Roger Kass and Josh Braun (through the Studio Bang banner) to co-produce the film, which has pre-production going down in Connecticut as we speak.
House of the Devil will tell of a babysitting job gone horribly wrong … but that’s about all was revealed. I’m guessing since it’s called The House of the Devil, a run-in with Satan will likely be in the cards.
“I am excited to be working with Ti again, and with this team and a few more resources.” Fessenden said in a press release, ”Ti’s ability to root his genre films in the rhythms and details of everyday life is what makes them resonant and startling. This one will be a doozy.”
Though only a few have seen anything more than Ti’s debut film, The Roost, early word on Trigger Man has been more than positive and I’m sure Cabin Fever 2 will be a good time when Lionsgate finally decides what they’re doing with it. Keep it here for more House of the Devil updates as they come in!
