Robert EnglundI know we ran a story long ago about Robert Englund directing another adaptation of Nikolaj Gogol’s “The Vij“, but it vanished. At least I know I didn’t make it up because Daily Variety confirmed today that Mr. Krueger will be helming the project and principal photography is scheduled to begin in April.

Robert will also star in the picture opposite Christopher Lee and Olga Schuvalova in this tale about “an evil genie who conditions the actions of a young priest, leading him to commit murder and fall in love with an old witch who is actually not what she seems.

Be sure to check out our interview with Robert Englund about his latest directorial endeavour, Killer Pad (review).
