Debra Hill Film Festival Coming to L.A.Make no mistake about it; the late Debra Hill is very much an icon in the industry, having helped to bring some of the most beloved films in our genre and beyond to audiences everywhere. Now, thanks to the PGA, she's getting honored with her own film festival.

Variety reports that the Producers Guild of America is launching the inaugural Debra Hill Film Festival on October 26 and 27 at the historic New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. The festival is a benefit to raise funds for the Debra Hill Fellowship -- dubbed the largest charitable grant given exclusively to emerging producers.

The festival is sponsored by Mondo and the New Beverly Cinema in association with the PGA and Women in Film. Hill's Big Top Pee-Wee will screen October 26 with Paul Reubens, Randall Kleiser and Penelope Ann Miller in attendance along with Debra and John Carpenter's Halloween on October 27 with John Carpenter participating.

Principals Quentin Tarantino and Michael Torgan have provided the New Beverly Cinema as the home for the event.

Hill, a long time Carpenter collaborator, died in 2005.
