Thanksgiving Still Happening for Eli Roth

Thanksgiving Still Happening for Eli RothIt's been a long time since we've had anything new to report regarding the feature length version of the faux trailer Eli Roth made for Grindhouse called Thanksgiving. However, with the passing of time good things come!

Behind the Thrills caught up with Roth who offered the following update:

It’s gonna happen. I’m working with the Clowns writers on it,” he tells the site referring to Jon Watts and Christopher D. Ford (Robot & Frank), the duo who came into Roth’s world after making their own faux trailer back in November 2010. “[We] have a call scheduled for tomorrow afternoon,” he adds stating that they will co-write the script with Roth and his writing partner Jeff Rendell. “We finally cracked the story and figured out how to make it really, really scary, and a reason to do it. Before John starts shooting Clown he has a window.” He expects to have a draft soon, but it’s unclear who will direct, if not Roth.

Yeah Eli Roth isn't going to be able to do this well. The trailer had nice gags, but Roth doesn't make scary movies. He makes gory movies.

Scary Eli? I don't want scary from Thanksgiving and I doubt he'll pull that off. I want that girl constantly giving blowjobs only to have the recipient get his head cut the fuck off.
