EXCL Video: Unboxing The Walking Dead: The Complete 2nd Season Limited Edition Blu-ray Box Set

So today we got an early look at the amazing Limited Edition Blu-ray Box Set for Season 2 of AMC's "The Walking Dead," and rather than keep all that undead-driven joy to ourselves, we decided to break out the camera and bring you along! Dig it!

Anchor Bay Entertainment releases "THE WALKING DEAD": THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON on August 28th.

Based on the hugely successful and popular comic books written by Robert Kirkman, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” captures the ongoing human drama after a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually), who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home. However, instead of the zombies, it’s the living who still remain that may be the biggest threat. Jon Bernthal (Rampart) plays Shane Walsh, Rick's sheriff's department partner before the apocalypse, and Sarah Wayne Callies (“Prison Break”), is Rick's wife, Lori. "THE WALKING DEAD": THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON cast also includes Laurie Holden (Fantastic Four), Steven Yeun (My Name is Jerry), Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints), Jeffrey DeMunn (The Shawshank Redemption), Chandler Riggs (Get Low), Iron E. Singleton (Seeking Justice) and Melissa McBride (The Mist). Guest stars for the second season include Lauren Cohan (“Chuck”), Scott Wilson (Monster) and Pruitt Taylor Vince (Constantine).

“The Walking Dead” is a hit with both audiences and critics. The first season won the Emmy® Award for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or Special and was nominated for Emmys® in Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series and Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series. Season 1 also garnered a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Television Series - Drama and was named to the American Film Institute’s (AFI) Top 10 Programs of the Year (2010), among other accolades. Season 2 is nominated for an Emmy® for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or Special; Outstanding Special Visual Effects; and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series.

I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered...but to be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I know the above picture was the prototype to lure people in, but it doesn't look even close to what it actually looks like. It's like a Burger King commercial when the Whopper looks amazing and then you buy one and it looks like some retard make it with his feet and then sat on it...

Don't worry, dude. Seeing it in pictures and videos doesn't do it justice.

If Uncle Creepy's using both hands to open the packaging what's he holding the camera with? Can anyone confirm or deny if Uncle C. has a prehensile tail or penis he can manipulate objects with? :)

I now have a mental image of you auditioning for a movie adaptation of Richard Laymon's 'The Cellar', as directed by Stuart Gordon in full-on kinky-strange 'From Beyond' mode. With you as the beast with the, ah, "interesting" appendage, of course.

I blame my own curiosity, damn it! ;)

This is some of the smartest "gimmick" packaging I've seen.

Nice to see that it's a standard package that fits nicely into the head case. I thought it would just be four discs that would go into the base and already be loose/scratched.

This is beautiful and I now am very compelled to own this sucker.
