Finally the Silent Hill: Revelation Trailer is Here!

It's been a long time coming, but finally the trailer for the sequel to Silent Hill, entitled Silent Hill: Revelation, is here! Gotta say it looks and feels like the game. Can the powers-that-be get it right again? The Resident Evil filmmakers should be ashamed of themselves.

Open Road has acquired U.S. rights to video game-based sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D and plans to release the psychological horror flick wide on October 26th. Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger and Radha Mitchell return from the original film.

In the sequel, directed by Michael J. Bassett, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Bean) have been on the run from mysterious and dangerous forces. She discovers she isn't who she thinks she is, leading her deeper into a demonic world.

Synopsis
For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

I thought it did a good job creating an honestly creepy atmosphere. The visuals and music both worked well. I also thought the pacing was solid. It's not a masterpiece but it was thuroughly entertaining from beggining to end.

Man that looks really good. I enjoyed the first film a lot; not a big fan of the games so I came to a bit more neutral.

Sweet!! I didnt know this was based on SH3. It looks like there following the game perfectly. And I noticed it had some of the music of the game. The piano at the beginning. I really want to see this now.

Not the best clip because it's full of spoilers but I'm really looking forward to this. Of course unlike James Coker I really enjoyed the first one.
