The Hive - Halle Berry Rushed to Hospital; More Join Cast
Things got scary on the Los Angeles set of Brad Anderson's The Hive yesterday as leading lady Halle Berry was struck down with a head injury and rushed to a local hospital. Luckily they didn't take her to Linda Vista by accident! Read on for the latest.
THR reports Berry was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night after she suffered a minor head injury on set. "Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film,” Berry’s rep said. “She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue with production as planned."
We wish her well!
In other news for The Hive, "Six Feet Under" and Final Destination 2's Justina Machado has been cast alongside both Berry and Abigail Breslin. Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, David Otunga, and Michael Linstroth all round out the indie cast. WWE recently came aboard to co-finance and produce alongside Troika Pictures.
Set against the backdrop of a 911 call center, the fast-paced suspense flick finds Berry playing a 911 emergency operator who must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a disturbed killer. Rich D'Ovidio wrote the script, which is based on an original story by Nicole D'Ovidio, Jon Bokencamp, and the scribe.
