Stuart Gordon Has a Taste for the Stage

Stuart Gordon Has a Taste for the StageStuart Gordon has brought us many classic movies throughout his career, and recently his stage productions of Nevermore and Re-Animator: The Musical have lit up the stage wherever they've played. Now Gordon is ready to bring us something entirely different!

THR reports that Gordon and producer Adam Goldworm are reteaming to bring a horror stage play titled Taste to Los Angeles.

Written by Benjamin Brand, Taste is based on the true story of Armin Miewes, aka the Rotenburg Cannibal, the German man who achieved international notoriety for killing and eating a voluntary victim whom he had found via the Internet.

We are so there.

Whatever happened to his adaptation of Thing on the Doorstep and the Dan O'Bannon script he was supposed to direct? I was excited for both of those.

After seeing Nevermore and Re-Animator: The Musical, I'd be cool with Stuart Gordon doing stage productions for the rest of his life.

Only based on seeing R-Animator: The Musical, I have to agree. That was some inspired shit.

Gordon is an amazing talent and I'm sure his theatrical endeavours are great. Having said that I sure as hell hope he turns his focus back to films ASAP. A film is less temporary than a play and can be accessed by a far larger audience. All justifcations for me being selfish and wanting more Gordon flicks.
