Writers Tapped for Jurassic Park 4

Finally some solid news has come out for Universal's next entry in the Jurassic Park franchise, known tentatively as Jurassic Park 4. The studio has picked its writers, and given their past track record, we wholeheartedly approve.
Deadline reports Universal is setting Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) to write the script for the fourth film, which will be produced by Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. Spielberg won’t direct this one.
Sure, that's not a whole hell of a lot of news, but at least it's something concrete and not the kind of lip service we've been subjected to by another ghostly franchise. Look for more on this one (hopefully) soon!

I'm actually pretty psyched about this. I've always enjoyed the JP films. For some reason, this franchise in particular just sort of stayed with me and developed into one of my personal favorites over the years. I give all three existing movies a watch every so often and I always have a great time with them.
Looking forward to seeing some humans get snacked on by large, carnivorous reptiles again.

For some reason I had this horrible feeling that I'd read about how Orci and Kurtzman got the JP 4 writing gig. Thankfully the worst pair of writers in Hollywood didn't.

I wish they'd go back and use John Sayles' crazy sounding Jurassic Park 4 script that would have militarized talking dinos fighting bad guys.
