Actor/Singer/Songwriter Cheyenne Jackson Set to Guest Star on Mockingbird Lane
More casting news has come in for NBC's "Mockingbird Lane", this time involving Broadway and TV star Cheyenne Jackson, who's signed on for a guest role as Eddie Munster's Scout Master Steve, a charming, cheerful widower with no children of his own who becomes smitten with Lily.
In addition to acting in such projects as "30 Rock" and "Glee", Jackson just released his first single, “Drive", and booked a part in Steven Soderbergh’s Liberace biopic for HBO Behind the Candelabra as Jerry O’Rourke, Liberace’s former lover and right-hand man on stage; and he currently appears in the feature Lola Versus.
Written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, "Mockingbird Lane" is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about "The Munsters", a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein — and their “plain” cousin that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy "Pushing Daisies".
Jackson joins the recently announced Beth Grant, who portrays Maryanne, the Munsters' nosy wheelchair-bound neighbor, along with main cast members Portia DeRossi and Jerry O’Connell as Lily and Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie, and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
