First The Lost (review) then The Girl Next Door (DVD review) and now Red; seems like Jack Ketchum’s work isn’t quite as unfilmable as some may have theorized.
Red is premiering at Sundance this year among a good-sized crop of horror offerings (“The Horrors of Sundance” – November 2007) and today STYD got their hands on the first still from the film, that of star Brian Cox looking horrified (click it to see the whole thing).
Trygve Diesen and Lucky McKee directed Red the story of a man (Cox) whose dog is killed for no good reason by some shithead teenagers and sets out for his own form or revenge. We’re two for two with Ketchum adaptations to date so here’s hoping Red will follow suit!
