Blu Saw and Blade Returns

I’ve yet to see SAW IV (review) and it is still in a few theatres, but that isn’t stopping Lionsgate from getting the buzz out in regards to the DVD.
DVD Active got a hold of images of both the standard and hi-def releases of the fourth SAW movie. Expect to see rated and unrated versions of the film to be in retails come January 22nd. All releases of the movie will come with the following features:
If you’re too lazy to get your friend a gift in time for the holidays, just tell him/her you were waiting for SAW. Or, if you want to push off present buying until February 12th, then you may be interested in our next news item.
Bloody Disgusting got word that the first (and maybe only) season of the TV series Blade will be out on that date. Blade: The House of Chthon (review) was pretty bad ass and did fill in for that pit of emptiness many of us fans felt after watching the abomination known as Trinity. The pilot showed that Blade could work on TV, but what is even better is that this DVD release will contain unrated versions of all 13 episodes!
The only downside here is that the special features listed look to be the exact same ones from the House of Chthon pilot. The commentary and Turning the Blade featurette were great, but it feels a little cheap unless the commentaries appear on more than just the first episode. We’ll wait and see.
