The Atlantic Rim Will Also Experience their Fair Share of Giant Robots vs. Giant Monsters Action Thanks to The Asylum

Just yesterday we finally got to read the plot synopsis for next summer’s Guillermo del Toro-directed giant monsters vs. giant robots blockbuster Pacific Rim. Today we find out that The Asylum is ready to strike back!
Get ready for their latest mockbuster, Atlantic Rim!
Undead Backbrain got the early word on the 2013 Asylum mockbuster Atlantic Rim, including the artwork that looks more appropriate for a movie titled Attack of the 500-Foot Megatron. That artwork will no doubt change once we begin seeing posters for Pacific Rim.
As for the plot:
When giant monsters crawl out of the Atlantic Ocean and attack the Eastern Seaboard, the US Government is forced to trust A.I. robots to defend the country.
See, totally different from Pacific Rim. These aliens are attacking on the Atlantic side, and the giant robots defending the human race are controlled by A.I. rather than being piloted by people. No need to contact your lawyers, Warner Brothers, like those crybabies at Universal did.
I just hope this proves better than my previous experiences with Asylum movies featuring giant robots and giant monsters. Their tedious The Day the Earth Stopped mockbuster boasted giant robots that stood in place not doing a damn thing, and their Cloverfield mockbuster Monster, about giant tentacles attacking Japan... well, that movie was so bad it nearly caused me to lose my damn mind.
Since shooting is reportedly slated to begin in December, either they’re really trying to get a jump on Pacific Rim’s July release date or The Asylum is anticipating this one will require a longer post-production schedule than what they’re accustomed to with so many of their rush jobs.
I say the more giant monsters vs. giant robots movies, the better. 2013: rim jobs for everyone!

The Avengers porn 'parody' had more actual Avengers in accurate costumes (while they had them on) than the Blockbuster movie.
