With the May 25th release of Warner Brothers’ Chernobyl Diaries coming up on us fast, we figured there’d be no better way to celebrate than by giving away a prize pack full of all manner of goodies
Chernobyl Diaries is an original horror thriller from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking film Paranormal Activity. When it comes to movies, Peli can instill fear in a way that no one else can. From the moment the six young extreme tourists in Chernobyl Diaries drive into the abandoned city of Pripyat, the audience only sees what they see and only knows what they know. Using a natural, improvisational technique, audience members become part of this extreme tour and experience the fear along with the characters on screen. In the vein of the Paranormal series and Blair Witch, Chernobyl Diaries plays on our very real fear of the unknown… of what might be just around the corner.

Synopsis
Chernobyl Diaries is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, Paranormal Activity. It’s written by Peli, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke and directed by Brad Parker. The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone.
Opening nationwide on May 25th, 2012, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
