For the upcoming and highly anticipated game Borderlands 2, 2K Games and Gearbox Software will be releasing two special editions of their upcoming game.

The Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition will contain a Marcus Kincaid bobblehead, Inside the Vault: The Art & Design of Borderlands 2 hardbound book, sticker set, map of Pandora, download code for a digital comic and additional in-game content.

The Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest will contain all of these items plus a scaled replica of the red loot chests that are found throughout the game, a steelbook case, a Creatures of Pandora wide-format ID chart, postcard set, field notes from Sir Hammerlock, a cloth map of Pandora and a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Pre-order incentives are still available for all versions of the game including the standard edition. These incentives include the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key–usable to unlock the in-game Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest for a rare item, the Vault Hunter’s Relic and a bonus character simply known as the Mechromancer.

Borderlands 2 will mark the epic return to Pandora where players will have to loot and shoot their way through the game in hopes of taking down the loathsome Handsome Jack and his Hyperion corporation. All editions of the game will be available on September 18, 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition can be pre-ordered for $99.99, while the Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest has an MSRP value of $149.99. Borderlands 2 is not yet rated. For more information, check out the official Borderlands 2 website.
