Amy Adams Ready to Go to Some Dark Places
So imagine sitting there as a child playing with your toys and such when all of a sudden everyone around you begins to get brutally murdered before your very eyes. Yeah, that can load up some baggage in your brain, and that's exactly what happens in Dark Places.
According to Deadline, Amy Adams is negotiating to star in a thriller based on Gillian Flynn’s critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller. Gilles Paquet-Brenner will direct from his script. Paquet-Brenner had the highest grossing North American foreign language release last year with Sarah’s Key.
If signed, Adams will play Libby Day, a woman who, at seven years old, survived the brutal massacre of her family and testified against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later the Kill Club, a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes, bring her to question and confront the truth of what took place that day.
Look for more (including, we suspect, a twist ending) as soon as it comes.
