America Sees The Ring for the Third Time with F. Javier GutierrezI’m still kind of spitting up the bad taste left in my mouth by Sadako 3D. I mean, holy shit! Hopefully the third film in the American Ring franchise will help me purge myself of it once and for all. Read on for your first details on The Ring 3.

According to Variety, Paramount Pictures has tapped F. Javier Gutierrez to direct the next installment in The Ring franchise. Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are on board as producers, and it is unknown at this time if Naomi Watts will return to star.

Based on a Japanese cult success, the first U.S. film went on to gross $249 million at the worldwide box office. That was enough to justify a sequel, which didn’t match the first one’s B.O. power but still grossed $160 million worldwide despite sucking CG deer dick.

The storyline revolved around a mysterious videotape that, when watched, kills the viewer a week after the person has watched it.

Stay tuned for more as it comes.

The Ring was a great remake I generally dont like Japanese flicks but the Ringu flicks are an exception. The sequel was just a soulless cash grab what a disappointment that was.Can only hope they get back on track with a third but not very optimistic.

Well this is unexpected and exciting news…LOVED LOVED LOVED the Ring, HATED HATED HATED the Ring 2.

The possibilities are endless with the directions they could take with the character of Samara and hopefully they get it right this time. It could really be creepy with the right writer/director. I just hope they upgrade from a VHS tape, because otherwise, the only people watching the cursed tape will be poor people or hoarders.
