We told you a few days ago what “Bates Motel” has planned for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but now we’ve learned that Norman Bates’ basement is being recreated on the show floor, allowing fans to interact with his taxidermy studio and more!
In Season 2 of A&E’s “Bates Motel,” Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) continued his works with dead animals, much to the dismay of his loving mother (Vera Farmiga). Fans of the series will be able to enter Norman’s creepy world and share the experience during SDCC 2014.
This recreated workshop will make its debut on the Comic-Con floor with props similar to those on the set of the original series. Go behind Norman’s desk and create a custom GIF with the infamous taxidermic bird as inspired by the world of Alfred Hitchcock. In addition, fans can pick up a “Bates Motel†themed temporary tattoo designed by the geek- loving artists from A&E’s upcoming series “Epic Ink.â€
You’ll find the basement in Booth #4016/4018. Just look for the big “Bates Motel” sign!
In addition to being open on Preview Night (Wednesday, July 23rd) from 6:00-8:00 pm, the booth will also be open during the following times:
Thursday, July 24: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Friday, July 25: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Saturday, July 26: 9:30 am-7:00 pm
Sunday, July 27: 9:30 am-5:00 pm
“Bates Motel” cast members who will be attending the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con include Emmy Award nominee and recent Saturn Award winner Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Olivia Cooke, and Nestor Carbonell. They will be joined by executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin for a thought-provoking panel discussion about the critically acclaimed drama on Friday, July 25th, from 3:30-4:30 pm in Room 6A.
Season 3 of “Bates Motel,” from Universal Television, is slated to air in early 2015.
