New Line Cinema has dated The Conjuring spin-off Annabelle to begin haunting theaters October 3, 2014. That should more than fill the horror void left by the bumping of Paranormal Activity 5 to 2016. Still, are audiences willing to dig into yet another ghost story?
Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders), Alfre Woodard, and Ward Horton are starring in the film with John Leonetti, the cinematographer on The Conjuring, directing from a script by Gary Dauberman. Eric Ladin and Brian Howe co-star.
The Conjuring included a haunted doll named Annabelle as part of a collection of demonic objects assembled by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.
