Garris Off Fear Itself?

WGA strike has forced Garris off of Fear ItselfHow far-reaching does this strike by the WGA go? That has yet to be determined but according to STYD, it’s caused Mick Garris to lose his own show.

That show being Fear Itself, the Masters of Horror reincarnation that is currently rolling out on NBC. We’ve learned further that Garris has chosen to step down from his position as showrunner to show his support for the strike. Producers at Lionsgate and Industry Entertainment, who are funding the show, are handling his responsibilities now. Garris will still be directing one of the thirteen episodes, however.

Does that mean, when the strike is over, Garris will return to his post? Who’s to say for sure right now, everything’s in flux because the goddamn studios don’t want to pay writers for their work being shown online. Hopefully this will all be over soon, but then I didn’t expect it’d actually go this far in the first place, so who knows?
