Exclusive: Splat is Back!

Old friend of the site and effects man extraordinaire Bill “Splat” Johnson dropped us a line with good news (finally!) about some upcoming projects he’s been working on for seemingly ever now. Working with the folks at Apple Pi Films, things are finally looking up for the man!
First up, a feature length remake of his award-winning, jaw-dropping short “Don’t Worry, It’s Only Your Imagination”, now shortened to just It’s Only Your Imagination, which is going into pre-production as we speak. Though the short focused on only one person, the feature film will follow a group going in to clean up an abandoned institution to help convert it to condos. There, they come in contact with an experimental drug that, years ago, made patients who were subjected to it terrified of the dark and the things that lived in it. Pretty soon the group will find out why they were so scared of the dark… Check out a teaser trailer, put together for financing purposes, for It’s Only Your Imagination below!
Also in active development is The Ghosting, formerly known as TV Ghosts. The story is about a man named Dave who begins to see strange things on his television, things he eventually determines are the actual nature of the person on screen at the time. So if you’re really an evil sonofabitch, he’ll see it. Attempting to enhance the images, he uses his computer and burns them to DVD, a process that accidentally steals the souls, which leads the dead bodies to come back searching for what is rightfully theirs.
