The Dead Files Back to Haunt Us Saturday, July 12One of the best damned paranormal shows ever created, Travel Channel’s “The Dead Files,” is gearing up for its sixth season premiere, and we have all the details you need to prep for the chills to come…. and make no mistake – they will come.

From the Press Release
Former NYPD Homicide Detective Steve DiSchiavi and medium Amy Allan are well-respected experts in their individual fields. Partnered together, they form a powerful paranormal investigative duo with a proven track record of uncanny accuracy.

In an all-new season of Travel Channel’s hit original series “The Dead Files,” premiering Saturday, July 12, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, DiSchiavi and Allan head back on the road to help beleaguered homeowners as they uncover paranormal histories and mysteries buried within all-new haunted locations. Moving to a new night of the week, the series’ sixth season features thirteen hour-long episodes – each rife with gripping stories, eerie occurrences, and shocking conclusions.

From the Pacific Northwest to the Florida Everglades, DiSchiavi and Allan are on a mission to help solve each case and restore peace to their distressed clients – whether it’s an entire family living in terror, a besieged business, or an unexplained violent attack. As they arrive on scene, DiSchiavi and Allan investigate each case independently of one another to preserve the integrity of their individual findings. As a physical medium, Allan sees and communicates with the dead, uncovering layers of paranormal activity beyond anyone’s imagination. Harnessing his detective skills, DiSchiavi researches the facts – interrogating witnesses and experts and perusing records to understand each location’s history, however dark or buried it may be. The team avoids all contact with each other until the very end, when they reveal their shocking discoveries to the homeowner in each episode’s intense conclusion. Drawing upon her experiences with the supernatural, Allan then provides much-needed advice for each client so they can reclaim a sense of normalcy within their lives.

In the season premiere, Steve DiSchiavi and Amy Allan travel to Florida City, Florida – a town ravaged by Hurricane Andrew in 1992 – to help a frightened family terrorized by disturbing paranormal activity. The “attacks” have become so frequent that the entire family sleeps in the same room at night. Simultaneously, homeowner Tracy has undergone a drastic personality change, putting strain on her marriage. While DiSchiavi discovers Tracy’s property was once part of an area annihilated by the hurricane and near the scene of a vicious and fatal police shootout in 1916, Allan encounters several terrifying entities – including a group of decaying “zombie-like” entities and a dark shadow figure that has possessed the living for some time.

Upcoming investigations take place in Abilene, Texas; Chester Springs, Pa; Flint, Mich.; Ft. Barnwell, N.C.; Hanover, Pa.; Leslie, Mich.; Roseburg, Ore.; Santa Paula, Calif; St. Louis, Mo.; Sumpter, Ore.; Toledo, Ohio; and Warsaw, Ind.
