Brad Pitt Set to Star in World War Z SequelVariety is reporting that Brad Pitt is now set to star in the sequel to World War Z. As if there was any doubt! Still, after the well documented troubles on the set of the first one, ya gotta admire his gumption to willingly step back into the world of the undead.

Oscar-nominated writer Steven Knight has been tapped to pen the script for Paramount Picture’s sequel.

J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, “Penny Dreadful”) is still attached to direct with Pitt (pictured) officially attached to star in the flick whose plot details are being kept under wraps.

Pitt will produce along with Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner for Plan B.

Stay tuned, kids!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

When your movie banks at the box office, of course you’d have “gumption” to star in the sequel!

Can’t wait for the follow up to “28 Pitts Later”!

The only good thing about a World War Z sequel is that at least we can’t complain about this one having almost nothing whatsoever to do with the book. There is no book.

Admire his gumption really? The only reason he’s doing it again is because it made bank dont kid yourself ,it’s all about the cash grab and always will be. I’m not really amped for a coming follow up to the planned trilogy . The first was not a real Zombie film but i guess it had it’s moments more like scenarious that looked good on the screen but really had little impact and made zero sense if you took a moment to digest them.

True. I can’t see that happening had it not done so well financially. Though he does quite a bit of charity work I hear so perhaps some of his paycheck goes to good things.

After the nightmare of production that he had on the first film, yeah, it takes some gumption to come back for a second. It’s not like he needs the money. If I were him, and being as well off as he is, I’d of just left it alone and collected the checks as they came.
