Gareth Edwards Back for Two More Godzilla Features

At the end of the day Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla did more right than it did wrong, and we can only hope that the next movies in the franchise will feature more of the title character than we got this go-around. Apparently director Gareth Edwards has two more shots to hit the mark.

In an article announcing his participation in a Star Wars standalone film over on The Hollywood Reporter, this nugget of news came to light… “Edwards is attached to direct Godzilla 2 and 3, but while story ideas exist, the Godzilla 2 project is still in early development and does not even have a script.”

Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams star in the film, which has been rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of destruction, mayhem and creature violence.”
