Alexandra Krosney CW Series iZombie Recasting Major RoleWe learned earlier this month that The CW has given the DC comic-based “iZombie” a series order, and a few stars have thus far been attached. As production gets ready to begin, one of those roles is already being recast, and we’ve got the latest for ya today. Read on!

Per Deadline, the network is going to be replacing actress Alexandra Krosney (pictured), who was originally going to be playing the roommate and best friend of main character Liv, who becomes a zombie. No word yet on who will be taking over the role.

“iZombie,” from Rob Thomas Productions and Warner Bros. Television, is written by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero and produced by Thomas, Ruggiero, Danielle Stokdyk, and Dan Etheridge. Rose McIver stars, alongside David Anders and Robert Buckley.

Synopsis:
Med student-turned-zombie Liv (McIver) takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Based on the characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred; published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint.
