In today’s most obvious news, the upcoming Jurassic World may be more than just another sequel to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic. Did someone say sequel(s)?
During a talk with IGN, Jurassic World producer Thomas Tull talked about the possibility of additional installments in the franchise.
“The ideas and script that they came up with, and story, are spectacular, so we may spend more than one piece in there.”
Color us shocked. Tull also had plenty to say about working with the film’s executive producers, Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall.
“I am very humbled and fortunate to call Steven a friend, and I joke with him that he practically raised me.” It is perhaps unsurprising to hear Tull continue, “It’s surreal in a way. Jurassic Park is one of my favourite movies. Colin was a fantastic choice – I loved his last movie [Safety Not Guaranteed]. Working with Steven and Frank Marshall – it’s a privilege.”
There ya have it. At least they started shooting with an actual script in hand this time (looking at you, Jurassic Part III).
