In case the three clips and photos we showed you earlier today weren’t enough, another sneak peek has arrived from “Salem” Episode 1.04, entitled “Survivors,” which reminds us heathens that a blessing can often be a curse in disguise!
“Salem,” recently renewed by WGN America for a second season, explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth behind them.

The series stars Janet Montgomery as the ruthless but vulnerable Mary Sibley, Salem’s most powerful enchantress; Shane West as handsome, hardened war veteran John Alden – and Mary’s onetime love interest; Seth Gabel as local aristocrat Cotton Mather, who fans the flames of Salem’s witch hunt; Ashley Madekwe as Mary’s mysterious, carnal accomplice, Tituba; Xander Berkeley as chief politician Magistrate Hale; Tamzin Merchant as the forthright Anne Hale, an artist with a perilous attraction to Alden; Elise Eberle as the mysteriously afflicted Mercy Lewis; and Iddo Goldberg as outcast Isaac Walton.

Alden worries when an old nemesis arrives in Salem with secrets that could destroy him. Mary loses her grip on Mercy.
Guest starring are Matthew Holmes (“True Blood,” “Sea Patrol”) as Hooke, Diane Salinger (“The Young and the Restless”) as Rose, Christopher Berry (“Resurrection”) as Petrus, and Thomas Francis Murphy (12 Years a Slave) as Reverend Lewis.
