The Hollywood Reporter
Some new casting news for the upcoming fifth season of “The Walking Dead” has arrived via THR as Seth Gilliam, who most recently recurred on MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” is the third “The Wire” vet to become a series regular on the zombie series.
Details on just whom Gilliam will play on “The Walking Dead” are being kept under wraps, but the casting breakdown – which used the dummy name of Michael – described the character as “friendly with a puckish demeanor who also has a haunted side,” though that is not expected to be accurate either. (There is not a character with the name Michael in the ongoing comics series, unless you count a small boy named Mikey.)
Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, Chad Coleman, and Sonequa Martin-Green.
The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Tom Luse, and Greg Nicotero.
