In 1974 director José Ramón Larraz released a blood-soaked erotic film called Vampyres, which told the tale of a lesbian vampire couple who would waylay and abduct various passers-by, both male and female, to hold them captive at their rural manor… as a means to make them midnight snacks.

Now director Victor Matellano is back with a remake of Vampyres, which stars Marta Flich (Omnivores) and Almudena Leon (Wax) alongside Christian Stamm, Veronica Bacorn, Caroline Munro, Anthony Rotsa, Victor Vidal, Luis Hacha, Alina Nastise and Remedios Darkin.

Larraz, who died in September 2013, took part in the pre-production of the new movie.
