With so many Kickstarter campaigns coming in to Dread Central on a weekly basis, we admit that it’s hard to get our attention and compel us to spread the word and/or donate….
But when you promise to deliver a practical effects-driven creature feature AND wow us with gory stills and video footage, well, you’ve got our strict attention.
Such is the case with Autumn Moon, an upcoming werewolf film from makeup effects artist Randy Fabert, which needs our help.
The recently launched Kickstarter campaign hopes to meet its $250,000 goal by this time next month, and Fabert promises that if we horror fans can band together and raise that money, he will deliver “the most violent werewolf film ever made.”
Ya see, Fabert has no interest in things like CGI and modern day technology; instead he wants to harken back to the days of old and bring us a creature feature that’s loaded with gore and laced with familiar faces.
On board the project are genre icons like Bill Oberst, Jr., Lynn Lowry, and Camden Toy; and Fabert has already filmed the entire opening scene for the flick to whet our appetites for the insanely gory action to come. Check out the project’s pitch video below, which includes the incredibly cool opening sequence, and head over to the Autumn Moon Kickstarter campaign to learn more and lend a helping hand!
Pulp writer Michael Renee Allen thought the house on the edge of the woods would be the perfect place to write his next novel. He soon finds that the forest has more to offer than just fresh air and a nice view. Something unspeakable is stalking the forest, a cunning force of pure evil that hunts by night, painting the forest with blood.
