Bad Milo star Ken Marino is no longer shit out of luck as he’s just scored a role in the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s much beloved Goosebumps franchise. Read on for the latest details and more!
According to Deadline, Marino will play Coach Carr, the blowhard coach at Greendale High who wades into battle when monsters overrun the school. Jack Black, Amy Ryan, and Dylan Minnette are also starring for Black’s Gulliver’s Travels helmer Rob Letterman, who landed the directing gig last March.
The flick follows Dylan Minnette’s character, who moves from New York City to the small town of Greendale, Maryland, where his secretive new neighbor turns out to be veteran young adult horror author R.L. Stine (Jack Black).
When all the many demons of Stine’s mind are set free by Slappy, a demonic ventriloquist’s dummy, it’s up to Minnette’s character and Stine’s niece Hannah (Odeya Rush) to put all the evil genies back in the bottle.
Darren Lemke and Mike White wrote the script. Neal H. Moritz produces with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.
