Haig Added to Grinder Cast

We recently got the news that Sid Haig has joined the cast of North Carolina native Richard Clark, Jr.’s new film, Grinder, playing a character known as Sheriff Eddie. That’s certainly one way to give your project instant cred! The IMDB also lists Danielle Harris and Bill Moseley as being “attached” to the film (we’ll be keeping tabs on that), and two of Sid’s confirmed co-stars, Adam Hughes and Anthony Firth, are Clark regulars.
Grinder tells the tale of some college students whose car breaks down and leaves them stranded in the Smokey Mountains over Thanksgiving weekend in a town called Chapman. Turns out the people who live in the town are all named Chapman, too. Freaky! And there’s more: “The town is the self-proclaimed road kill capital of the world, and this title is their claim to fame. There is a deserted silence in this town and a stench which emanates from a mysterious mill. The students find a place to stay in Chapman’s only motel, and the stranded group begins to disappear one by one. Those remaining quickly realize that the smell might not be the only thing rotten about the town.”
Grinder marks Haig’s 60th feature film appearance and should be memorable based on the star’s promise that it contains “all the earmarks of classic horror. It has sadistic mayhem, ultimate fear, anxiety building through the story. It’s just plain fun.”
