The Amityville Horror House Back on the MarketLast year we told you that you could buy the house in which the famed Amityville Horror haunting took place if you happened to have like $1.45 million laying around. After no one bit, the house then dropped to $1.35 million. Now it’s going for a bargain bin price of…

JUST $955,000! Um… Zak Bagans… are you listening?!?!?

The 10-room, Colonial-style building was used for exteriors in the 1979 film.

The “real” Amityville house at 112 Ocean Avenue was made famous on November 13, 1974, after police discovered six members of the DeFeo family – father, mother, and four of their five children – all shot and killed execution style.

In December of 1975, George and Kathy Lutz and Kathy’s three children then moved into the large Dutch Colonial style house. After just 28 days the Lutzes left, claiming to have been terrorized by paranormal phenomena while living there. The Lutzes’ reports of strange and horrific experiences was the basis of the book and film.
