Leviathan Comes to the Surface for Scream Factory Blu-ray ReleaseWhile Scream Factory’s summer slate is already jam-packed with goodies, including Blu-ray releases of Lake Placid and Motel Hell, they’re nevertheless showing no signs of slowing down and have just added another title to the mix. The company broke the news on its Facebook page earlier today that the 1989 underwater monster flick Leviathan is getting the prestigious Blu-ray treatment, being added to Scream Factory’s “Summer of Fear” release schedule.

This marks the very first time the film has ever been released on Blu-ray, and no specific details have yet been revealed.

Leviathan stars Peter Weller and centers on the crew of a mining base, who are hunted down by a genetic mutation from the darkest depths of the sea.

    Leviathan was a cool flick, but my alltime fave sea monster flick has got to be DEEP RISING that’s a classic!
