Braveheart and Peal Harbor writer Randall Wallace is all set to make his next directorial effort on Arcanum, a project we’ve been waiting for more info on since it was announced a few months back (“Gold Circle Snaps up Arcanum” – June 2007), according to this morning’s Hollywood Reporter.
The film, written by Thomas Wheeler based on his novel of the same name, follows Arthur Conan Doyle as he teams up with H.P. Lovecraft, Harry Houdini and voodoo priestess Marie Laveau to fight a supernatural force that threatens to bring the world to its knees.
Gold Circle, who it was mentioned are finally in post on Joel Schumacher’s Town Creek, are producing the film. Expect to hear more about it very soon as this is one we’ll keep a very close eye on! If you’re a reader, be sure to get The Arcanum through Evilshop to prepare yourself for the film!
