Around these parts we love us some Casper Van Dien. We’ve had a soft spot for him since his days as Johnny Rico in Starship Troopers. We know the guy has the goods, and hopefully he gets a chance to stretch his legs a bit with the new feature June!

Variety reports that Van Dien and Addy Miller (“The Walking Dead”) have joined supernatural thriller June, shooting later the month in Louisiana.

Victoria Pratt, Eddie Jemison, Theodora Greece, and Lance Nichols have also been cast.

Kennedy Brice (“The Walking Dead”) stars as a 9-year-old orphan who shares her body with an ancient supernatural being whose mission is to destroy mankind to allow nature to prevail on earth.

L. Gustavo Cooper (Velvet Road) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Sharon Y. Cobb. Gregor Habsburg (Hellbenders), Jacquelyn Frisco (Tell-Tale), and Duane A. Sikes will produce with Raven Banner Entertainment partners Michael Paszt, James Fler, and Andrew T. Hunt.
