A Credible Source Provided this Sneak Peek of The Following Episode 2.07 - SacrificeIf Fox would cut down “The Following” to around 13 episodes instead of its current 15, maybe things wouldn’t feel so needlessly drawn out and padded. In any event, as we crawl toward the halfway point of Season 2, here’s a clip from Monday night’s Episode 2.07, “Sacrifice.”

Do our eyes and ears deceive us? Is a member of the FBI finally doing something smart? In the clip Agent Gina Mendez tells Ryan she’s inclined to believe him that Joe Carroll is, in fact, alive and aware he’s being pursued.

“The Following” Episode 2.07 – “Sacrifice” (3/3/14, 9-10PM; repeats 3/8/14, 9-10PM)
PAST ACTIONS COME BACK TO HAUNT RYAN HARDY — Ryan and the FBI continue their hunt for Lily Gray and are forced to redirect their search when a new threat enters Max’s life.

Meanwhile Joe, Emma, and Mandy arrive at their latest hideout but quickly realize things aren’t what they seem.

Finally started season 1 of this.

Well, I’m dreading the downhill turn, because the first 2 episodes were bloody brilliant! Very gripping.

Plus it’s so good to see Kevin Bacon back in action. And to see James Purefoy use his real accent!

I remember well how high our hopes were after the first few episodes. Brace yourself for the inevitable fall. Season 2 started out pretty great too, but now it’s following Season 1 down the rabbit hole. I do think a big problem is too many episodes. If they’d cut it down a bit and focus on ways to avoid making the FBI look so stupid, it’d be a lot better, but that’s really just the tip of the iceberg of what’s wrong with the show.

Well, I’m starting to think maybe we should just stop half-way through every horror-themed show. Play it safe.

I’m hoping that my now low-expectations for what’s to come will put me in a small majority who enjoy the show consistently. I’ll be reporting back soon! 😉
