Sean Faris - Cast for Supernatural: Tribes Spinoff Expands by ThreeWhew! A flurry of casting news has come out over the past few days for The CW’s potential spinoff series “Supernatural: Tribes,” and we have all the details here on who’ll be playing a werewolf, a shapeshifter, and a mentor with a dirty little secret.

As previously announced, Nathaniel Buzolic plays David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of Chicago’s ruling monster families, while Lucien Laviscount portrays Ennis Roth, a human police academy trainee who learns the truth about what lurks in the shadows and becomes a monster hunter himself.

Now, as for the newbies, TVLine reports that Sean Faris (pictured above), currently recurring as Officer Gabriel Holbrook on “Pretty Little Liars” (he also appeared on “The Vampire Diaries” as Ben McKittrick), will play Julian Durant, the son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes who has no love for the Hayden clan.

Filling out said Hayden clan will be Danielle Savre (pictured below left; “Heroes,” “Hollywood Heights”) as Margo, the acting head of the shapeshifting family who feels threatened by David’s return following his attempt to live as a human for several years. She’s an ex-punk rocker turned corporate professional.

Another former “Vampire Diaries” actor, Stephen Martines (pictured below right; “Burn Notice,” “The Closer”), will play Detective Freddie Costa, a mentor to Ennis, who is on the take from the monster families that control the city.

The “Tribes” backdoor pilot airs as Episode 9.20 of “Supernatural” on April 29th.
