Elizabeth Bathory was said to have bathed in the blood of virgins, so naturally she’s been the subject of many a horror film over the years. The Countess is once again gearing up for a return, and a hot young actress has been cast in the iconic role. Read on!
THR reports that The Wolverine star Svetlana Khodchenkova has landed the lead role in the upcoming film Lady of Csejte, a historical thriller that follows the 16th century Hungarian serial killer, labeled the most prolific female serial killer in history. The film will also star Isabelle Allen (Les Miserables).
The Transylvania shoot begins later this month.
Andrei Konst will make his directorial debut with the pic, from a script by Matthew Jacobs. Glacier Films is financing and producing the film, alongside Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activty, Insidious).
