Last November “Under the Dome” executive producer Neal Baer mentioned we’d be meeting some new characters when the popular CBS series resumes in the summer months, and now we have some details on three of them.
Per TVLine, Season 2 will introduce Sam, a rugged fellow better known to the locals as “the crazy drunk who lives alone in the woods” – and who harbors a family tie to a familiar face, as well as Rebecca, a teacher in her 30s whom Big Jim (Dean Norris) beseeches to start back up the school, though not with the noblest of agendas.
There will also be a “new girl” in town who takes an avid interest in both Joe (Colin Ford) and Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz).
Baer did say that we’ll maybe meet someone who’s related to Junior (Alex Koch) and Big Jim so that could be Sam… As for the new girl, I vote alien.

When Season 2 kicks off, it will still be only two weeks since the dome went down, and don’t forget that Stephen King, whose bestselling novel is the basis for the series, wrote the premiere episode of the second season.
