Catch Up on The Following with this Five-Minute Recap Video Did you miss out on “The Following” Season 1 and want to catch up before it returns in January? Or maybe you watched but can’t remember the details. In either event, here’s a recap video that lets you experience everything you need to know in five minutes!

The acclaimed thriller starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy will unveil a special preview Sunday, January 19, immediately after the “NFC Championship Game” (live, 6:00 PM-CC ET), kicking off 15 heart-pounding weeks of uninterrupted episodes. The Season 2 premiere of “The Following” will air Monday, January 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following an encore of the preview (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

Created by Kevin Williamson (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Dawson’s Creek,” the Scream franchise) and starring Golden Globe Award-winning actor Kevin Bacon (X-Men: The Last Stand, Frost/Nixon) and James Purefoy (“Rome”), the special Season 2 preview of “THE FOLLOWING,” entitled “Resurrection,” catches up with RYAN HARDY (Bacon) in the wake of a horrific new murder spree, which furthers his suspicion that JOE CARROLL’s (Purefoy) reign of terror is far from over. The series, which will have its season premiere on Monday, January 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) following an encore of the preview episode (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), also stars Shawn Ashmore (the X-Men franchise) and Valorie Curry (“Veronica Mars”), and joining the cast this season are Connie Nielsen (“Boss,” “Law & Order: SVU”), Jessica Stroup (“90210”), Sam Underwood (“Dexter”), and Tiffany Boone (Beautiful Creatures).
