Following up on yesterday’s first casting news for Duncan Jones’ big screen adaptation of the Blizzard Entertainment video game juggernaut World of Warcraft, another casting update has made its way online.
THR reports that Dominic Cooper (pictured) is in final negotiations to join the fantasy opposite the previously announced Ben Foster (“Six Feet Under,” Pandorum, Rampart), Travis Fimmel (“Vikings,” The Experiment), Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), and Rob Kazinsky (“True Blood,” Pacific Rim).
Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) has closed a deal with Legendary Pictures to bring a live action version of WoW to the big screen. Charles Leavitt (The Seventh Son) came on board last August to pen the script. Legendary, which picked up film rights to adapt the popular fantasy video game franchise back in 2006, said it’s planning for a summer 2015 release.
