More Walking Dead Casting News and a Beauty-Based German Ad Campaign The casting news continues for “The Walking Dead” Season 4 as “Greek” alum Andrew J. West has boarded the AMC series based on Robert Kirkman’s comics. But wait! There’s more!

Character details are being kept under wraps, but West will appear in the second half of The Walking Dead’s fourth season and play Gareth, a character who does not appear in the long-running Image/Skybound series on which the AMC show is based. However, sources tell THR that while Gareth might not be playing someone from the comics, he is a remix of sorts of an unidentified character from the series. Gareth will have what sources say is a big presence and play an important character on the drama from showrunner Scott M. Gimple.

Beyond that THR also reports that Pay-TV network Fox Germany has launched an ambush campaign targeting female fans of “The Walking Dead,” using electronic billboards in Berlin subway stations that feature models who morph into zombies.

The campaign, developed by Berlin agency Saint Elmo’s exclusively for Fox Germany, appears to be a standard billboard advertising a makeup remover (the “Good Night Cleansing Program”) but as passerbys approach the ad, the cosmetics model morphs into a ghoulish zombie while the ad shifts to feature the “Walking Dead” logo and the tagline “Season Four First on Fox.”
