Casting News Galore

Jessica Stroup takes on mutants in Hills Have Eyes sequelSince there have been so many casting updates as of late, too many to keep track of even with my quick eyeballs and speedy fingers, I figured it’d just make the most sense to throw it all at you at once and allow you to sort out what you do and don’t care about.

Old stuff first! About a week ago there were rumors flying that the cast for The Hills Have Eyes 2 had been finalized and contained a lot of names that, unfortunately, didn’t ring any bells with me. Two of those names have been confirmed by Variety: Jessica Stroup (pictured, who can be seen in the recent Anchor Bay release Left in Darkness) and newcomer Reshad Stirk have been officially announced as having joined the cast. You can check out the full list o’ names right here and see if any jump out at you; just keep in mind that it is the IMDB and may contain a healthy amount of bullshit.

Next up, Arrow in the Head got word last week that Milan Knazko, a former Minister of the Slovakian government, has been cast in the role of hostel owner Sacha for Eli Roth’s Hostel 2, which is ramping up production as we speak. This piece is still in the rumor category for now, but since it’s so very odd, it wouldn’t surprise me if it were true.

Finally, Variety announced this morning that “24” regular Reiko Aylesworth and “Rescue Me” star Steven Pasquale have taken the leads in Fox’s ill-advised Alien vs. Predator sequel, which is being helmed by The Strause Brothers. Since little is known about said siblings, it could all turn out for the best, and if you think about it, it really couldn’t get much worse than the first flick…

That’s all we have for you right now, but I’m sure more casting news will be cropping up online within a few hours so keep it here!
