THR scored the poster premiere for the new flick from Lucky McKee, All Cheerleaders Die, and we have it for you right here… with some really nice rear ends happily included.
All Cheerleaders Die (review) is a remake of a movie McKee made way back in 2001.
Image Entertainment has acquired all US rights to ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE, the high school-set comedy horror-thriller written and directed by Lucky McKee (May, The Woman) and Chris Sivertson (The Lost, I Know Who Killed Me). The film was produced by Andrew van den Houten (Funeral Kings, The Woman) and Robert Tonino (The Woman, In the Family) from Modernciné, stars Caitlin Stasey (“Reign”; Tomorrow, When the War Began) and Sianoa Smit-McPhee (“Hung”), and introduces Tom Williamson. The executive producer was Arrien Schiltkamp. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in spring 2014.
When tragedy rocks Blackfoot High, rebellious outsider Mäddy Killian shocks the student body by joining the cheerleading squad. This decision drives a rift between Mäddy and her ex-girlfriend Leena Miller – a loner who claims to practice the dark arts. After a confrontation with the football team, Mäddy and her new cheerleader friends are sent on a supernatural roller coaster ride which leaves a path of destruction none of them may be able to escape.
