The First Trailer for Draugar Does Battle with the DeadNorse mythology is rife with creatures that could easily be featured in their own films. Such is the case with the following short Draugar from director Paul Cotrulia and producer/writer Timothy Scott of Event Films.

So what is a Draugar, you ask? In Viking mythology a draugr is the reanimated corpse of a dead Viking who has supernatural powers of growth, strength and the ability to drive his victims insane. They revel in the suffering of the living as they also envy the living. Draugar is the plural of Draugr, and from what we are gathering, there look to be many of these creatures populating this upcoming film.

Check out the trailer below and keep your eyes on the Event Films Facebook page for announcements regarding when you’ll be able to dig on the flick in its entirety!

Synopsis
In a post-apocalyptic future where mankind is at war with the dead, a lone soldier enters a mysterious temple to rescue his comrades in arms. However, the draugar are waiting, and it’s just a matter of survival of the deadliest.
