Another new character one-sheet has arrived for Divergent courtesy of Summit, and it features a hawk rising. Not a chicken hawk either. Those are reserved strictly for Looney Toons.
The highly anticipated feature film adaptation of DIVERGENT stars Golden Globe® nominated Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Academy Award® winner Kate Winslet. The film also features Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Tony Goldwyn, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen, and Amy Newbold. The futuristic action adventure based on author Veronica Roth’s New York Times best seller is directed by Neil Burger from a script by Vanessa Taylor. The original draft of the script was written by Evan Daugherty.
DIVERGENT is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
In some parts of the ancient world, the hawk symbolized the sun. Back when I got this, I figured if I always had the sun on me, I wouldn’t be afraid of the dark… Now it reminds me of the fear I’ve overcome. Most Dauntless get tattoos as a reminder of the past, a mark of progress. They are a sign of overcoming obstacles, a way of marking struggle and progress on the body.
