Yesterday it was reported webwide that Evil Dead remake writer Rodo Sayagues and director Fede Alvarez had left the Evil Dead remake sequel. Today a different song is being sung.
Bloody Disgusting caught up with Alvarez, who clarified things. “Stuff got lost in translation,” he says of the Gorosito interview with Sayagues that spawned all this. “Rodo meant we’re not actually making Evil Dead 2 right now because the priority is Sam’s Army of Darkness 2. But the plan of making a sequel to our Evil Dead is very much alive.”
There. Crisis averted. Now where’s all that Halloween candy? We’ve got some celebrating to do!
