I think it’s safe to say that we’re all looking forward to Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film Crimson Peak the same way we look forward to everything he touches. Though we’ve still got a lot of looking forward to do, today comes confirmation of the shooting schedule.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, del Toro will begin production on Crimson Peak after he’s finished shooting “The Strain” pilot for FX. The haunted house thriller will be shot at Pinewood Toronto Studios, with a schedule that begins on February 10 and wraps up on May 14.
Crimson Peak portrays a young author who discovers that her husband is not who he appears to be.
Tom Hiddleston, Emma Stone, Charlie Hunnam, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Jim Beaver star with del Toro helming. He and Lucinda Coxon penned a rewrite of his and Matthew Robins’ original script.
Del Toro previously described the film as “a very set-oriented, classical but at the same time modern take on the ghost story. It will allow me to play with the conventions of the genre I know and love and at the same time subvert the old rules.”
